 Ffion Qualifies for World Junior Asian Golf Championships held In Indonesia in June

 

 

Ffion a student at Cwmlai Primary School in Tonyrefail, overcame wet conditions at Trentham Golf Club, to  put in a scintillating performance at

Trentham Golf Club to score a 7 under par 66 to book herself an amazing opportunity to travel to Indonesia for the prestigious Tournament.

The week-long event takes place in Jakarta and will feature over 144 players of all ages from over 24 countries and Ffion will be only of girl playing from the UK

 

Ffion set her stall out early and quickly got into a rhythm and striking the ball cleanly, and was able to keep her nose in front, despite the driving rain. The closing holes saw Ffion remain in control

with a birdie par, par finish to secure qualification.

 

Ffion has had a tremendous start in her short Golf Career who currently playing off 22 handicap and plays out of Pyle and Kenfig and The Vale Resort Golf Clubs, will also be travelling Scotland in May

to take part in the European Championships looking to improve on last year’s 4th place.

 

Things don’t get any quieter after Jakarta as she will also be travelling to America in July to play in a number of World events including the Callaway World Junior Champi
